Still a page turner

Even though I have had to slow down this week, I am excited for the pages I have been able to squeeze in.  The author is thoughtful to the characters and gentle with the reader–so far– ( that subject of the book makes me uneasy until I know she isn’t going to pull a “gotcha” and shock me).

My son Mike said that the movie was not something I want to see.  Hmmm I don’t know but I will decide after I finish reading the bo0k.  Maybe I will be so satisfied I won’t need to see the movie.  ( I have never heard of a movie adding to a book!)

I am wondering what we will read next, maybe we should read a classic!  Thoughts?

  1. i haven’t been able to read as much as i would have liked to since we started i have read about the first 100 pages, i really like the book so far, i love how the author tells this story… can’t wait to read more.

  2. So I read the book and LOVED it. My BFF told me about it and I couldn’t put it down.
Then I saw the movie. It was good. I know that books and movies are different. It was interesting to see how the other world was portrayed. The gazebo is just how I imagined. There were, of course, a few things that were changed. There are movies, based on books, that I will watch more than once, but this is not one of them. But the book I had borrowed to read the first time, I have now bought!
(And I do agree with Mike that you might not want to see it.) There is my 2 cents worth, take it or leave it.
