So cool, they made it into a series! I hope it is as good as the books!
Yes, I did! All three of the books in the Hunger Games Trilogy, and let me tell you, it was a wonderful , scary , intense journey! Half way through book three, I was so weighed down, with my life and the life of Katniss, Peeta, and Gale always on my mind.
The books will leave you wanting more, even thought the author does a fabulous job of answering your questions, and tying the story up with a not-so- neat little bow.
I truly believe that reading The Hunger Games has made me see our world a little differently, wondering even more of what the future brings, and maybe just a little piece of me will always be in District 12!
If you haven’t read it, now is the time!
LOVE THE HUNGER GAMES!!!
I took all year to read the Hunger Games. Why? I guess I was scared of gore, of being taken on a psychological journey that would end in my all too active imagination, forever replaying itself.
That was not the case. Well written, this book describes the horror of ( gasp) reality TV gone really bad. I can give you no other details than this……I felt like that was real and this was the fantasy life. The author so transports you to the place where the Hunger Games would be real, that I think a piece of me is in there, somewhere.
I must admit watching Survivor this season made me a little edgier than usual.
So yes, I am a confirmed fan, and will now be reading the whole series, maybe before the years end!
This is a page turner!
The Hunger Games is a family hit!! A must read for everyone, and a good family discussion piece. I think we will be reading whole series!
Thank you to Chris McDonald, #Lifespan Home Modifications, # McLendon’s, and #Evergreen Woodworkers for helping Daryl come home to comfort!
My son, Paul is an avid reader, and once he gets into a series of boos, well, let’s just say no one sees him until the books are done! ( If only his homework was like that :)!!)
This year, our family and friends will start out by reading “The Hunger Games” series. While I have asked Paul not to tell me too much, his excitement is contagious!
So please order your copy now, and share with us how you feel, starting with book one, “The Hunger Games”!
Remember there is NO pressure to do this, or to post. It is just super fun to be able to share common interests and make the miles shrink as we are all over the country ( soon to be all over the world!)
Enjoy, and thank you Paul for your suggestion!
Ok Kozlowski Family, time to read “Plenty” – we are going to source food items grown within 100 miles of where we live, are you ready?
I love the new movie “To Save A Life”. I avoided watching it because I didn’t need a tear jerker. This movie that is closer to the every day truth than most of us would want to admit. Watch this with those you love, you will be glad you did!
Yes, if you read the last book, GREAT! If you are still reading, keep going it’s terrific!
The new book should be arriving on your doorstep any day. I hope you like it! This one I picked, because I am so inspired by the love that Steve and Terry Irwin shared. ( and of course the animal conservation thing is my thing!)
I hope you love it as much as I already do! I think that Silas will be joining us this time.
Please remember, I know we are all busy people and this is supposed to be fun and a way to get to know each other, sample each other’s tastes in literature, and have fun family discussions about the books! A way that we can come together in a new way as our family evolves and changes ( and moves—boo!)! Please allow this to be fun and challenging for you too!
You are loved, and I hope you love this book!
